THIS IS THE GARAGE CHICAGO
AT THE GARAGE CHICAGO, WE BUILD COMMUNITIES THROUGH STRENGTH, PERFORMANCE, AND LONG-TERM RESILIENCE.
The Garage Chicago is a community-driven lifestyle that prioritizes inclusion over exclusivity because no one is meant to rise alone. We value character over performance, consistency over hype, and belonging over image. There is a shared expectation for both coaches and athletes when they walk through our doors. As you enter each of our spaces, you see a quote from Michael Jordan: “You must expect great things of yourself before you can do them.” We believe greatness is built on trust, humility, and respect.
Both inside our walls and beyond them, we commit to treating others with fairness and dignity, regardless of race, ethnicity, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, disability, marital status, or any other characteristic protected by law. Feeling safe, supported, and secure always comes first. We take responsibility for our actions and how they impact others, and we care for our shared spaces and equipment with intention and care.
The Garage Chicago began, as our name suggests, in a backyard chicago garage with limited equipment but a conviction that still defines us: movement is a practice of becoming stronger, and strength reaches its fullest potential inside communities that can support and expand that growth. When we grow stronger together, that strength extends outward, improving our lives and elevating the communities around us.
Today, The Garage Chicago exists as a shared ecosystem: a sacred space for movement, connection, and education. We are not here to impress. We are here to train with intention, commit to the process, and support athletes for the long term. At The Garage Chicago, we build athletes for life. The strength of our community comes from how we treat one another.
Zero-Tolerance Safety Policy
The Garage Chicago maintains a zero-tolerance policy for behaviors that compromise the safety, dignity, or comfort of our community. Prohibited behavior includes, but is not limited to:
• Sexual harassment or unwanted sexual advances
• Sexual assault or inappropriate physical contact
• Stalking or repeated unwanted communication
• Intimidation, threats, or coercive behavior
• Any conduct that creates a hostile or unsafe environment
Consent is required in all interactions. Silence or lack of resistance does not imply consent. Coaches and athletes are encouraged to report any behavior that violates these standards to staff immediately or through our reporting channel HERE. Reports will be taken seriously, investigated promptly, and handled with discretion and confidentiality. Violations may result in suspension or permanent removal from all Garage Chicago locations. When appropriate, external authorities may be involved to protect the safety of our community.
Commitment to Our Community
We are committed to continuously strengthening our community standards and welcome feedback. Your voice helps us create a safer, stronger, and more supportive environment. Together, we make The Garage Chicago a place where everyone feels valued, respected, and empowered to grow.
