Expectations for All Members

Respect for Others: I will treat all individuals, including fellow members, guests, staff, and trainers, with respect, fairness, and dignity, regardless of their race, ethnicity, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, disability, marital status, or any other characteristic protected by law

  2. Personal Responsibility: I take responsibility for my actions and their impact on others. I follow all community guidelines and am mindful of shared spaces and equipment.

  3. Healthy Living: I engage in activities that promote a healthy lifestyle and encourage others to do the same. I participate in events and programs designed to enhance physical and mental well-being.

Non-Discrimination: I understand that discrimination, harassment, bullying, or any form of intimidation based on a person's protected characteristics is strictly prohibited within The Garage Chicago. This includes in-person interactions, communications, and online interactions related to the gym. 

Zero Tolerance Policy

The Garage Chicago has a zero-tolerance policy for behaviors that compromise the safety and comfort of our community.
This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Sexual Harassment: Any unwanted or inappropriate sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, and other verbal or physical harassment of a sexual nature.

  • Stalking: Repeated and unwanted attention, following, or contact that causes fear or concern for one’s safety.

  • Unwanted Advances: Persistent and unwelcome attention or behavior that makes someone feel uncomfortable or threatened.

Reporting and Consequences

  • Reporting: If you experience or witness any behavior that violates our community standards, please report it to a staff member immediately. All reports will be taken seriously and handled with confidentiality.

  • Consequences: Violations of our zero-tolerance policy will result in immediate action, which may include suspension or permanent removal from The Garage Chicago. We are committed to ensuring a safe environment and will not hesitate to enforce these standards.
